Today I decided to tackle a fairly new hide in the south of Galleywood, Mummy’s 3 Boys. I certainly needed my wellies – but I managed to get to GZ eventually, despite several false starts! Great to have another one ticked off the list.
Lucky’s Trail is a nice little set of six caches around the recreation ground in Rawreth, set by Tot66. I’ve had them on my radar for a while, and today they bubbled up to the top of my list.
They are a good variety of hides and difficulties. I found all but one – well, actually, I found the other one too, but it was too far up a tree for me to retrieve. The CO contacted me after my “Write Note” log to say I could claim it as a proper find if I wanted to. I did, but I will take Alistair there when he’s next down south and send him up the tree to sign the log!
One cache was snuggled under a bridge, a quick find.
The view from the ditch!
The next one was great – a huge, fat, furry spider lurking up a tree on a piece of fishing wire! Just find where to drop the wire down and there it is…
Another more friendly critter was hiding in a bush.
I had to wait around to find the last cache as there had previously been muggles at GZ training their puppy, but at least the wait meant I was able to catch a rather spectacular sunset.
