Day #351 – Ingrave Ingress

Trad: 6
Walked: 4.1 miles

Today I was a good girl and finally got around to doing some maintenance on my own caches. It helped that Alistair was chauffeur so I could just jump out and quickly change a log book when required. But we also found some boxes too!

Our first stop was to revisit and old location in Brentwood. The cache that used to be there was a lovely little multi with a doorbell push at Stage 1, and you had to navigate to Stage 2 by pressing the bell. We found it – just – at the end of last year, but the bell’s batteries kept dying and the CO archived it. However, Stage 1 is now reset as a trad, so we went to pick that up.  We also got some bonus slugs!

Then we relocated to Ingrave/Thriftwood for a walk to find another five in the area.  We encountered more wildlife here, this time a load of snails had colonised the camo bag!

Day #106 – Wandering In Walmer

My semi-muggle friend Julian is happy to go searching for tupperware when we go out for walks, but he can’t be bothered to log any himself. He usually finds them pretty quickly too!

This was at the Hawkshill Memorial while we were picking up a few of the Deal Geotrail caches. It came with its own snail colony!

Deal Geotrail #4 was a tricky find but not so bad once you found the right way into the clearing in the trees.

Got it!
Got it!

There were a couple of DNF’s during the walk too – both with many previous unfound logs – so I suspect they are actually missing. It’s a bit sad they’re not being properly maintained.
