Time to pick up a few more orphans today – this time around the picturesque village of Pleshey. First of all, I tackled a handful on the Pleshey Diversion Off The Essex Way.
Golden Fields
This poor bird came off the worst from an encounter with something hungry – probably a fox!
Wayside Casualty
One annoying DNF later, I was back in the village itself for the new Village Sign hide by jazzyjessups. He’s a brave Kentish boy if he comes encroaching this far into Essex territory! 😀
Having finished work at a reasonable time this evening, I visited Pleshey to walk a section of the newly-revamped Off The Essex Way loop by fenners1984. There were some pretty cottages along the way:

The going was pretty good for most of the route, with well made footpaths and tracks.
The Path Goes This Way
I saw some lovely wild roses growing in the hedgerows.

The penultimate hide was this nice letterbox cache, with a big, fat Zebra stamp in it!
Lovely Letterbox
All in all an enjoyable little diversion for my stroll.
