Day #178 – Licence To Take It Easy

Trad: 1
Walked: 1.0  miles

In the last five days, despite it being January, I’ve cached in Kent (twice), Berkshire, Oxfordshire (twice), Bucks, Milton Keynes and Herts; found 131 caches and walked a little over 46 miles. So today I thought I had earned a rest and would find something much closer to home to maintain my geostreak!

The new hide in Galleywood, Licence To Ride by The Avenue Two fitted the bill nicely. It was a quick find and I was able to tick off a cache for the geostreak then get home to get on with the things I should have been doing over the past five days!

The Log Is Stuck
The Log Is Stuck

I was in Chelmsford today to run some errands so thought I would try the cache at the Ice Rink as today’s target. It’s had quite a few DNF’s since publication so I wasn’t hopeful of finding it.

I began looking and then spotted a muggle, so started to move away when a voice from behind me said “It’s a tricky one to find!”.

A guy from the Leisure Centre was having a smoke break nearby and very helpfully gave me a big hint as to where it was. The log was stuck fast inside, but it’s another find!
