It was very warm today and I didn’t have a lot of energy. Originally I had planned a longer walk, but the temperature and my lethargy put paid to that idea. Instead, I spent the morning pottering around half a dozen hides at Stagden Cross, near High Easter. The sun shone on the yellow fields as I walked.

It beat down on the trees as I searched for the caches.

And it made me all hot and bothered until I finally found the illusive last one, which was sitting staring at me from a tree 40ft away from the posted co-ordinates.

I had lunch in Mauro’s Café in Writtle on the way home, and then spent the afternoon relaxing before heading into work for my Night Shift. Tomorrow will be a difficult day for a find, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
