I thought I might not be capable of having walk after munching Christmas dinner, so set off just after breakfast for a festive cache hunt. My chosen target was a D4 – my reasoning was that if it was going to take a bit of searching, it would be best to do it on a day when hardly anyone was about.
Well Camo’d Christmas Cache
However, I struck lucky and almost tripped over the cache on arrival at GZ. It was well camouflaged but I was glad to have found it so quickly. Now home to my parents’ to stuff myself with Christmas fodder!
I enjoyed an outing today with Shifty The Mega Duck to the GeoCoffeeClub #12 – Festive Flavours event in Braintree Freeport this morning. Shifty got a lot of attention, as usual! He was dressed smartly for Christmas:

Then off to White Notley and Cressing to try and mop up a few stragglers around The Essex Way – mixed success with Infinson’s hides – they are usually tricky and he refuses to give any hints! At least I got Slow Down – and a nicely themed container it was too.
Bit of a disaster this afternoon, I discovered my car wouldn’t start again. I had had trouble at the end of my road trip on 4th October this year, but it had been to the garage and had behaved itself since.
Merry Christmas From The Builders
So I had to leg it over the Chelmer Village to pick up on of my “emergency” caches which I’ve been holding off finding for just such an eventuality. It was an 8-mile round trip on foot for just once cache, but the show must go on!
