Having stayed overnight in Elstree to recover from my Night Shift/Day Shift, I got up this morning to drive home but decided to stop off near Hoddesdon for a georamble on the way. There were 10 caches in Hoddesdon Park Wood which caught my eye, combined with some more along Ermine Street and Ball’s Wood, then back along the country lanes to Goose Green where I left the car.
Although it was a hot day in the sunshine, my route was predominantly in woods, so it was lovely and shady with a cool breeze at times. Perfect caching weather.
I thought I might DNF a couple of the hides, but luckily they were all present and correct (eventually!).
Once I had finished my main walk, I noticed that there were a couple of drive-bys to be had on the way back to the A10, so I stopped off and picked them up to make a round 20 finds for the day, so I had a grand day out. I also noticed that today’s finds have taken me past 2000 finds since starting my geostreak on Day #1 – now standing at 2008, in fact.
