After a fairly frustrating visit to the Brookman’s Park area on Day #289, I thought it was about time for a re-match due to the unfinished business I had there. It had been wet and miserable this morning, but perked up by the time I knocked off work.

So I pottered about picking up some more of the Brookman’s Park Stroll series. Thankfully, I had a much more successful day, even finding a couple which gave me grief last time.

One of the oddest finds of the evening was near BP 21 – this weird “beach ball” in the woods! It was very heavy and I think filled with sand. Reminded me of Rover from The Prisoner.

Final cache of the day was an earthcace in the water meadows. Was it any wonder that much of it was flooded after this morning’s deluge? I had to backtrack to return to the car as I didn’t have my wellies with me, but we got there in the end.

At the earthcache, The Mimmshall Mystery, just as dusk was falling.
