While scouring the map for caches suitable for an after-work foray, I had noticed there were two intertwined trails around the village of Aldenham which I could attempt over several evenings.
The first cache of the evening was to collect the Church Micro puzzle cache in the village itself. It’s an impressive building which looked lovely in the long evening sun.

Then I started on the Wall Hall walk to the north west of the village, which took me across wide open fields on good solid paths.

I passed through the Wall Hall estate – now converted into posh housing. The building looked very grand in the setting sun!

I worked my way back to the car via a series of Moosey’s Trail caches, again along firm gravel paths and no trouble with the mud, or the finds! The light was fading, but I was glad I hadn’t had any DNF’s.
